He has held faculty positions at three universities, and lectured at such institutions as the University of San Francisco, Notre Dame University and Stanford University. He has been Professor of International Studies on several voyages of the Semester at Sea program (and is currently Chair of the Faculty Council Board of Directors) at the University of Virginia. He recently served as Visiting Professor of Leadership & Innovation, Mendoza School of Business, at Notre Dame University's Latin American MBA programs in Mexico and Colombia.
